Anthea is available to see clients on Monday and Tuesday
About Me
Anthea is a generally registered psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults.
She has particular interest in anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, including autism and ADHD, and the emotional impact of chronic illness and disability.
Anthea offers a warm, gentle, and collaborative approach to therapy, and aims to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
Her work is holistic and trauma-informed, recognising the connection between emotional wellbeing, the nervous system, the body, identity, relationships, and life experience. Anthea draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside mindfulness and self-compassion-based strategies.
She supports clients to better understand themselves, respond to stress with greater awareness, and develop a more compassionate and connected relationship with themselves.
Her hope is that clients come to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to who they are.
