Junyan is a generally registered psychologist. She is passionate about supporting individuals across various stages of their life by creating a client-centred, safe and supportive space that promotes growth, healing and resilience.
Junyan speaks both English and Mandarin. Her therapeutic approaches are guided by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the integration of elements from evidence-based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Junyan has experience supporting individuals facing a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, sleep difficulties, adjustment issues, assertiveness, confidence, and self-esteem. She also has a particular interest in supporting individuals with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and those navigating life outside of their home country.
Junyan is experienced in conducting psychometric assessments in children, adolescents, and adults. Her assessment work includes the identification of autism, ADHD, and learning disorders, evaluation of cognitive abilities, memory, personality, adaptive functioning, and developmental concerns, and diagnoses of mental health disorders. She provides practical recommendations to support clients, families, schools, and workplaces in helping individuals thrive across a variety of settings.
Committed to evidence-based practice, Junyan integrates empirically supported therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs. She values interprofessional collaboration to ensure comprehensive care in both therapeutic interventions and psychometric assessments. She is committed to ensuring every individual feels genuinely valued, heard, and understood throughout the therapeutic journey.
