The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

About me

I am a registered psychologist who creates a safe space for genuine, honest and open communication with my clients. My approach to therapy is oriented to help people heal and move forward to live a meaningful life.

Areas of interest

For the past 13 years, I have practiced across a variety of settings including community, private and non-government organisations. My experience in working with adults and adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, stress and interpersonal difficulties has been a focus.

I also teach Clinical Communication Skills in the School of Medicine and am keenly interested in promoting improved communication with others, emotion regulation and quality of life.

I am strongly influenced by the restorative benefits of mindfulness practices and use elements of various therapeutic inventions to suit my clients needs, these include: cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal therapy, attachment focussed, self-compassion, and Gestalt approaches.
