Fees and Charges
Consultation: $180 - $185
Concession/Pensioner Rate: $120 - $150 (unless otherwise negotiated)
There are different fees and charges for home visit services, WorkCover, for organisational counselling and some other consultations.
There are also fees and charges associated with the writing of support letters and reports that are required for agencies other than your General Practioner.
Evolve Wellbeing are registered Psychological Therapies Program (PTP) providers with Wesley Mission Queensland.
Please give the office a call to discuss your referral and we can provide you with a fee structure tailored to your situation.
Evolve Wellbeing accepts many different types of referrals. Depending on your circumstances you may be referred a number of ways.
GP Mental Health Care Plan - Your General Practitioner may refer you under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative. This will help by allowing the patient to be able to claim a Medicare rebate back on the fees they have paid to their Psychologist. After the completion of the initial 6 sessions with the Psychologist, you will be required to attend an appointment with your General Practitioner for a review of your mental health care plan. Your GP may then allow for another 4 sessions. Medicare allows for a total of 10 sessions per calendar year which will attract a rebate with all of the correct paperwork.

Psychological Therapie Program (PTP) - Your General Practitioner may refer you under the PTP pathway. PTP is a program funded to deliver short-term psychological support to financially disadvantaged people and families. Please speak to your GP to see if you may be eligible for this type of referral.
Private Patients - You do not need a referral to book an appointment as a private patient. Fees will vary depending on the practitioner that you see as well as the consultation type and length. Concession rates will apply for holders of a concession or health care card. Please contact us to discuss your needs or to make an appointment.
Private Health Insurance - Patients who have private health insurance may be eligible for a rebate when seeing a psychologist. As each health fund and level of cover varies, please contact your private health insurer to discuss the possible rebates that you may be entitled too. We have HICAPS facilities available to process any health fund rebates. Please note however, that you are not able to claim both private health rebates and any Medicare rebates on the same consultation.
What to bring
On booking your inital appointment, Evolve Wellbeing will send out via email or post, some inital paperwork for you to complete and bring along to your first session with you, this will also contain some general information about your appointment and our office contact details. In order to assist in beginning your therapy, please bring with you any referral letters or care plans that are required for your appointment. You will be required to pay your account on the day and HICAPS and EFTPOS facilities are available for easier electronic claiming.
Cancellation/Rescheduling your appointment
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please ensure you allow at least 24 hours notice so as we may be able to offer the appointment to another person.
Failure to give a minimum 24 hours notice of a cancellation, or non attendance of an appointment will incur a Cancellation Fee (if the appointment slot is unable to be filled) of:
• 0-3 hours notice - Full consultation fee
• 3-24 hours notice - 50% of full consultation fee
* please note that if we are able to fill this appointment time, then cancellation fees will not apply
This fee is not covered by Medicare / WorkCover / TAC / Third Parties and applies to Gap Fee and Bulk Bill patients.
2 or more non attendances, or cancellations without 24 hours notice, may result in your Psychologist being unable to see you until outstanding account has been paid.
